Document sealing

Seal every document you send.

Each PDF and financial document gets its own code, bound to its details. Businesses Authentikor has verified also get the seal: one seal on every medium you send, one place to check it.

How it works

From your document to the person who checks it.

  1. 1

    Each document is sealed.

Authentikor puts a code on the PDF or financial document, and a seal when your business is verified, and keeps one signed record for it.

  2. 2

The record is bound to its details.

The record holds the document number, amount, payer, last digits of the bank account and, for a PDF, the fingerprint of the file.

  3. 3

    The recipient checks it.

They scan, click or type, and see what the document was issued for.

The proof is the signed record and the match with the document in front of you.

Bound to its details

Each document is bound to its own details.

The seal and the code on a document lead to one signed record. That record states what the document was issued for, so a changed amount or a different bank account shows when someone checks it.

1Document number
The number on the quote, invoice or statement.
2Amount
The total the document asks for.
3Payer
Who the document is addressed to.
4Bank account
The last digits of the account to pay into, never the whole number.
File fingerprint
For a PDF, a fingerprint of the file itself.

You can seal quotes, invoices, pro forma invoices, statements and credit notes, and other PDFs.

Every way to check

Each seal Authentikor issues is one signed record with its own typed code. The code and the seal both lead to that record, so anyone can check a document or an email in the way that suits them.

One seal on every medium you send, one place to check it.

The seal is issued only to businesses Authentikor has verified. They carry the same seal on email banners, websites, PDFs, financial documents and certificates, and a code without a seal still checks the message. The file check takes a PNG, JPG or PDF and shows every seal, QR code and printed code it finds.

  1. ClickClick the banner or link in the email.Authentikor reads: The code in the link.
  2. TypeType the code at authentikor.co.za/verify.Authentikor reads: The typed code.
  3. QRPoint a phone camera at the QR code.Authentikor reads: The code in the short link, authentikor.co.za/V followed by the code.
  4. Scan the sealGive the file check a photo, screenshot or the file with the seal.Authentikor reads: The seal.
  5. Drag inDrag a PNG, JPG or PDF onto the file check: a banner, screenshot, invoice or any sealed document.Authentikor reads: Every seal, QR code and printed code it finds in the file. For a PDF, also the fingerprint of the file.

Scan the code or the seal: Authentikor shows what it was issued for, so a changed document or a wrong sender stands out.

What a scan exposes

A scan does not only say yes or no. It shows what the record was issued for, so you can compare it with the document or email in front of you.

  • A changed document. The scan shows what the record was issued for: the original invoice number, the amount and the last digits of the bank account. If the page in your hand says something else, the change stands out.
  • A wrong sender. For an email, the scan shows the sender address and the recipients, with the recipients masked. A message from any other address does not match.
  • Parts of two documents mixed. If the seal, the QR code and the printed code on one page lead to different records, the scan says so: these do not belong together.

The seal was copied from the genuine invoice. The scan shows what it was issued for.

Example documents. Every value is an example. Example seal from authentikor.co.za, not issued to a business.

Example: a seal copied onto another invoice
What the seal was issued for
Invoice
INV-2026-0142 (example)
Amount
R 12,450.00 (example)
Bank account
ending 4821 (example)
What the invoice in your hand says
Invoice
INV-2026-0142 (example)
Amount
R 92,450.00 (example)
Bank account
ending 7730 (example)

A copied seal reads exactly like the original, so the scan shows what the original was issued for and the difference stands out. The proof is the signed record and the match with your document, not the picture of the seal.

If nothing is found, Authentikor has no seal or code to show for it. That never means the document is fake. Phone the sender on a number you already trust.

Who it is for

Who document sealing is for.

Businesses that send quotes, invoices and statements as PDFs or in email, and want the person who pays to be able to check them first. It matters most where a changed amount or bank account would cost someone money. Your clients do not need an account or any software: they check in a web browser, with a photo, a screenshot or the file.

Add it to a plan, or use it on its own: document sealing can be added to a plan, or you can have it standalone without the email signature and banner packages. Tell us what you send and how many, and we will come back to you. See pricing
