The seal should open the company's current verification record.

From your company to your domain

  1. 1

    Verify the company.

Your company goes through the applicable verification and review process.

  2. 2

    Prove domain control.

Add your website, then follow its DNS TXT or hosted-file instructions.

  3. 3

    Link to the live record.

Display the website seal and let visitors check the company and current coverage.

Company verification and control of a domain are separate checks.

Two ways to show you control the domain.

An already verified company can add a domain and prove control using a DNS TXT record or a hosted file. Each domain has its own proof instructions.

The service checks the proof and rechecks added domains. A domain that is removed or loses its required proof can lose live seal coverage.

DNS TXT
Add the exact record and proof value provided for your domain.
Hosted file
Place the provided proof file at the location specified for your domain.
Check
Authentikor checks for the matching proof.

Illustration only. Use your account's exact proof instructions.

The linked record is what visitors should check.

A copied badge image can be out of date. Visitors should open the linked company record, check the domain and read its current status.

The seal connects the website to a verified company and evidence of domain control. It is not a security audit or a guarantee that every page, link or transaction is safe.

A website seal has a specific purpose.

Website seals are for verified website coverage. They are separate from Authentikor's company wordmark, marketing fingerprint and campaign banners.

A licence certificate also has a different purpose: an eligible verified company issues it to a licensee for a defined scope and period.
