Every way to check
Each seal Authentikor issues is one signed record with its own typed code. The code and the seal both lead to that record, so anyone can check a document or an email in the way that suits them.
One seal on every medium you send, one place to check it.The seal is issued only to businesses Authentikor has verified. They carry the same seal on email banners, websites, PDFs, financial documents and certificates, and a code without a seal still checks the message. The file check takes a PNG, JPG or PDF and shows every seal, QR code and printed code it finds.
- ClickClick the banner or link in the email.Authentikor reads: The code in the link.
- TypeType the code at authentikor.co.za/verify.Authentikor reads: The typed code.
- QRPoint a phone camera at the QR code.Authentikor reads: The code in the short link, authentikor.co.za/V followed by the code.
- Scan the sealGive the file check a photo, screenshot or the file with the seal.Authentikor reads: The seal.
- Drag inDrag a PNG, JPG or PDF onto the file check: a banner, screenshot, invoice or any sealed document.Authentikor reads: Every seal, QR code and printed code it finds in the file. For a PDF, also the fingerprint of the file.
Scan the code or the seal: Authentikor shows what it was issued for, so a changed document or a wrong sender stands out.
What a scan exposes
A scan does not only say yes or no. It shows what the record was issued for, so you can compare it with the document or email in front of you.
- A changed document. The scan shows what the record was issued for: the original invoice number, the amount and the last digits of the bank account. If the page in your hand says something else, the change stands out.
- A wrong sender. For an email, the scan shows the sender address and the recipients, with the recipients masked. A message from any other address does not match.
- Parts of two documents mixed. If the seal, the QR code and the printed code on one page lead to different records, the scan says so: these do not belong together.

A copied seal reads exactly like the original, so the scan shows what the original was issued for and the difference stands out. The proof is the signed record and the match with your document, not the picture of the seal.
If nothing is found, Authentikor has no seal or code to show for it. That never means the document is fake. Phone the sender on a number you already trust.
